All of the initial work on Battle Aces focused around the RTS side of things - units, terrain, FX and all of that.
We realised however that we also wanted a human element to allow you to engage with the game as a commander / controller of the army, and so the Battle Ace was born.
This design process kicked off in earnest once we started working with The Line on our announcement trailer, which would kick off focused on one pilot getting ready for battle.
Her design was a really fun collaborative process, and they did an amazing job bringing her to life!
